Moontown is an award-winning non-profit organization that creates real-world, hands-on experiences designed to help teens and young adults cultivate the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to tackle to the most pressing environmental, social and economic challenges of our time.

Why are solar trash compactors important?

Our Associates are inspired to take action as informed agents of change. We do this by helping them identify their unique talents and interests, and consequently learning how to leverage them as assets in the real world.

  • Social Impact Media – Our summer internship program uses an interactive approach to learning that gives participants an opportunity to immerse themselves in the challenging complexities of the communication field.

Our Associates gain an insider’s perspective as they participate in scenario-based learning opportunities that build on lectures and site visits with leaders in the fields of leadership development, entrepreneurship, sustainability and social impact media.
